Skarks and Feywolves

The Skarks are small fey, roughly the size of pixies, who are known for their mischievous natures and for not being terribly bright.  As Skarks have a high mortality rate, their survival as a species depends on mating often and reproducing rapidly; thus their name has become a swear word describing sexual activity.  If you see one Skark, it’s up to no good, if you see two, they’re making more Skarks.  They are vaguely humanoid, males about nine inches tall, females about eight, and come in every color one can imagine.  They reproduce sexually and the females lay dozens of eggs, which they then abandon and forget about entirely.  They covet sweets, but are not terribly smart, and are easily tricked and manipulated by other fey.

Rarely seen by mortals, Feywolves are large, powerful, wolflike predators that run in packs in regions favored by Elves and their fey cousins.  They are said to be more intelligent that normal wolves; some faerie folk claim they can speak.  They sometimes serve as mounts for the smaller faeries.
