The Empire of Gazea-Gozon

The mighty twin Kingdoms of Gozon and Gazea dominate the southern central area of the continent. Murderous internal politics generally keep the Autocracy occupied, but when the Archpriest manages to turn his gaze abroad, Gazea-Gozon is quite capable of threatening any major power with sheer numbers. The nations are a monotheist theocracy dedicated to Tiamat. Their religious unity gives them a singular purpose, but they are intolerant and violent towards non-believers; there are frequent purges - which do not stop the rise of disruptive cults and heretics. The Autocracy can seem cruel to outsiders, but so long as the few harsh laws are followed, common folk are generally left to do as they please. Gazea-Gozon is driven to spread the rule of Tiamat across the continent.

This powerful and centrally located realm is our stagnant threat; an oppressive theocracy which always looms as a potential foe. Gazea-Gozon can be a frightening and hostile place for foreigners, but travel through the realm is possible (most of the time) though perhaps unpleasant. While it feels pretty sinister, it’s still home to quite a lot of people, and they’ve managed to find a way to survive under the gaze of Tiamat’s faithful. Gazea-Gozon has been challenging to create, but the more worldbuilding that goes into it, the more interesting it becomes.
