Between the rising Kingdom of Aruthien and the declining Pileusian Empire lies the Free Kingdoms - a disorderly group of petty kingdoms who fiercely hang on to their independence. The Free Kingdoms are a region in the southwest of Galhadria linked by the Zinaelian Gulf or Tembledon Bay. They are small but fiercely independent regions who have won their freedom from the Pileusian Empire and wish to remain self-governing.

Points of interest include the bustling trade hub of Drialadon, the many monk orders of Sunovas, the warlike armies of Kyvan, or the wilds of Rothgorod - and many more.
